Summary
The story follows a technologically minded girl and a boy with a vivid imagination who accidentally activate a mysterious device while attending the Voices of China’s Children study camp. Their actions trigger an unexpected journey through time, transporting them across a century of Nantong’s history.
As they travel through different eras, the pair visit notable locations, including the Nantong Museum and the Tangzha industrial heritage site. Along the way, they encounter spiritual manifestations of historical figures such as Zhang Jian and learn about the challenges, achievements, and sacrifices that shaped the development of the city.
Through their adventures, the two gain a deeper understanding of Nantong’s cultural and historical legacy while uncovering the stories behind its transformation over the past century. Blending elements of history, fantasy, and time travel, the story explores the connection between the past and the present through the eyes of its young protagonists.
