Summary
The narrative centres on an archaeologist who is transported to the Tang Dynasty and becomes entangled in the political dynamics of the imperial court. During an archaeological expedition, Yun Ye is swept into a sandstorm and unexpectedly finds himself in the early Tang period. Drawing upon his modern knowledge, he establishes a stable livelihood and gradually rises through the administrative hierarchy.
As Yun Ye adapts to court life, he forms a close association with the Crown Prince and navigates the complexities of palace politics. His journey also brings him into contact with a figure from his past, rekindling an earlier romantic attachment.
