Summary
Unknown to the general population of Earth, a parallel branch of humanity known as the Gosei Angels exists, tasked with safeguarding the planet. When Earth becomes the target of an extra-terrestrial invasion force called Warstar, the invaders destroy the Heaven’s Tower, the sole link between Earth and the Gosei World, thereby preventing the Gosei Angels from intervening. At the time of the attack, however, five apprentice Gosei Angels are already present on Earth. Stranded and seeking a means to return home, they assume the mantle of the Goseigers and begin resisting Warstar’s offensive.
Following a prolonged campaign, Warstar is defeated. Soon thereafter, the monstrous Yuumajuu awaken from their ancient slumber, prompting the Goseigers to continue their defence of the planet. In this conflict they receive assistance from Gosei Knight, a unique being who previously fought against the Yuumajuu. With his aid, the Goseigers succeed in eliminating the threat.
A third adversarial faction then emerges: the Matrintis Empire, a mechanised civilisation intent on conquering Earth using data harvested from the two earlier invasion forces. Once the Matrintis Empire is overcome, the Goseigers confront their final and most formidable enemy, a renegade Gosei Angel who has orchestrated the prior conflicts. Having taken the mission of planetary protection to an extreme, he seeks to annihilate all existing life and recreate the world according to his own design.
