Summary
Sun Sze Ma, a contemporary video‑game enthusiast, is transported to the era of the Three Kingdoms after a powerful hurricane disrupts the boundaries of time. In this historical period he encounters the renowned strategist Chu Kwok Leung, whom he has long admired through modern Three Kingdoms video games. Relying on unconventional tactics derived from his modern knowledge, Sun engages in a contest of strategy and intellect with his historical idol.
During his time in the past, Sun also meets prominent figures of the era, including Lau Bei, Cheung Fei, and Chow Yu, among other canonical personalities associated with the Three Kingdoms. Although an unremarkable young man in his own time, Sun undergoes a personal transformation as he directly witnesses and participates in key historical events.
Shortly before his departure from the period, Sun forms a brief romantic liaison with the palace maid Yau Yau. The narrative ultimately poses a thematic question: whether Sun’s path to success will be shaped by the noble ideals of the historical gentleman he admires or by the habits of the aimless youth he once was. Three Kingdoms RPG is presented as a series characterised by unexpected developments and imaginative reinterpretations of classical history.
