Summary
The Thundermans centres on the Thunderman family, a household of superheroes attempting to maintain ordinary lives in the fictional community of Hiddenville. The narrative primarily follows Phoebe Thunderman, who aspires to become a full‑fledged superhero, and her twin brother Max Thunderman, whose ambition is to achieve notoriety as a supervillain. Their parents, Hank and Barb, endeavour, often unsuccessfully, to refrain from using their powers in daily life, while younger siblings Nora and Billy embrace their abilities with enthusiasm. A former supervillain, Dr. Colosso, transformed into a rabbit, resides in Max’s basement lair and provides him with guidance on villainy.
At the conclusion of the second season, the family welcomes a new member: Chloe, introduced as the youngest sibling.
During the third season, Phoebe begins formal training to become a superhero, while the master supervillain Dark Mayhem mentors Max in villainy. The season culminates with Dark Mayhem instructing Max to demonstrate his allegiance by removing Phoebe’s powers. Max ultimately rejects villainy, choosing to support his family and assisting in Dark Mayhem’s defeat.
In the fourth season, Phoebe and Max operate jointly as the Thunder Twins, earning candidacy for the elite superhero organisation known as the Z‑Force. Midway through the season, Phoebe inadvertently absorbs Dark Mayhem’s powers, temporarily becoming evil, but is restored by her family. The season concludes with Phoebe and Max appointed as the new leaders of the Z‑Force, with the Thunderman family inducted as members.
