Summary
Time After Time was an American science‑fiction drama series that follows the author H. G. Wells, who pursues Jack the Ripper from Victorian London to contemporary New York City using a time machine of his own design. Adapted from Karl Alexander’s novel and the 1979 feature film, the single‑season series blends suspense, historical elements, and romantic subplots within a modern setting.
Critical reception highlighted the strength of the principal performances and the inventive use of time‑travel motifs, while noting structural inconsistencies and uneven narrative development. The series has been regarded as of particular interest to viewers drawn to hybrid genre formats and cat‑and‑mouse thrillers.
