Summary
Time Bandits is a fantasy‑adventure comedy series in which an eleven‑year‑old history enthusiast, Kevin Haddock, is unexpectedly swept into a journey through time after a group of eccentric thieves bursts into his bedroom. The thieves, fugitives from the cosmic authority known as the Supreme Being, possess a stolen map that allows them to navigate temporal portals, pulling Kevin into their schemes across multiple eras.
Across the season, Kevin and the Bandits travel to diverse historical settings, including ancient Mexico, medieval England, New York during the Harlem Renaissance, Georgian‑era Europe, and even the Ice Age. Their encounters range from cultural feasts and duels to confrontations with figures such as Casanova, the Earl of Sandwich, and Mansa Musa. Each episode blends comedic misadventure with historical pastiche, while a parallel storyline follows Pure Evil’s pursuit of the thieves and the map.
As Kevin becomes more deeply involved with the Bandits, he confronts moral dilemmas, alternate versions of his own family, and the manipulations of the Supreme Being. The season culminates in a confrontation within the Fortress of Darkness, where Kevin and his allies attempt to rescue his parents and thwart cosmic forces seeking control over time itself.
