Summary
Blending elements of romance and science fiction, the narrative centres on the relationship between Henry DeTamble, a man afflicted with a genetic condition that causes involuntary, short‑duration episodes of time travel, and Clare Abshire, who first encounters an older version of Henry during her childhood and later becomes his wife. As in the source novel, the series foregrounds thematic questions concerning determinism, free will, and personal identity, using Henry’s temporal displacements as a framework for exploring the implications of a life lived out of chronological order.
