Summary
Todd Smith, Curtis Weaver, Jenny Kolinsky, and Hannah Williams are students at Crowley High, the sole secondary school in a small town secretly established by a cabal of Satanists. The group becomes entangled with the Book of Pure Evil, a cursed, sentient magical tome that grants the wishes of those who possess it, invariably twisting their desires into violent and destructive outcomes. Determined to prevent further harm, the four students form an alliance to locate and destroy the Book.
Each episode centres on a Crowley High student attempting to use the Book to improve their circumstances, only for the spell to unleash chaos, mayhem, and frequent bloodshed throughout the school. Todd and his friends intervene to counteract the Book’s effects and to prevent Crowley High from descending into complete ruin.
The school’s guidance counsellor, Atticus Murphy, appears to support the teenagers in their efforts. However, he is secretly a member of the Satanist cabal that governs the town from the shadows and has been tasked with recovering the Book of Pure Evil for their leader.
