Summary
Seo Do‑won is depicted as a determined and uncompromising detective whose professional identity is defined by his commitment to apprehending criminals. Known for his willingness to undertake even the most demanding investigations, he has established a reputation as an officer who consistently delivers results. His life is irrevocably altered when the woman he loves becomes the latest victim of a serial killer.
Following this event, Do‑won discovers that he can move between parallel universes. In one world, he is burdened by the consequences of his father’s crimes; in the other, he is forced to navigate a precarious existence shaped by those same transgressions. The complexity of his circumstances intensifies when he learns that the woman he lost in one universe remains alive in the other. Determined to bring her killer to justice in one world while protecting her in the other, Do‑won recognises that the dual nature of his mission requires assistance.
He seeks support from colleagues in both universes, including Han Seo‑kyung, who exists as an earnest and warm‑hearted prosecutor in one reality and as a detached, emotionally restrained detective in the other. Together with Lee Jung‑min, a persistent investigator within the scientific analysis unit, they work to identify the perpetrator in one world and safeguard Do‑won’s loved one in the other.
