Summary
The narrative centres on Danny and Milo, lifelong friends whose contrasting temperaments increasingly strain their relationship. Milo, who drifts through life in a haze of habitual intoxication, finds himself at odds with Danny’s decision to embrace responsibility and maturity. Danny intends to marry his partner, Kate, a choice that Milo interprets as a betrayal, seemingly bringing their long‑standing friendship to an abrupt end.
The situation alters dramatically when Milo encounters an alternate version of Danny originating from a parallel universe. This discovery propels the pair into an unpredictable journey across multiple divergent realities, each populated by distinct iterations of themselves. As they navigate these worlds, they confront the implications of their choices, the instability of identity, and the fragility of their bond. Their odyssey is further complicated by the pursuit of a relentless interdimensional assassin whose objective is the systematic elimination of every version of Danny and Milo across the multiverse.
