Summary
Set in a post‑apocalyptic United States reconstituted as the Divided States of America, the series depicts a society thrown into disorder following a catastrophic event known as the Fall, which has left major urban centres devastated and the nation’s highways dominated by criminal factions and roaming warlords. At its centre is John Doe, a fast‑talking delivery driver with amnesia, referred to as a milkman, whose obscure past contrasts with the hazardous routine of his work. Offered an opportunity to abandon his perilous existence, he is tasked with transporting a cryptic package across the lawless Wasteland. His journey brings him into contact with a range of eccentric and often dangerous figures, most notably Sweet Tooth, a homicidal clown who prowls the roads in a weaponised ice‑cream truck.
