Summary
The Global Guardian Force (GGF) was established in 1966 following a worldwide surge in kaiju activity. As environmental conditions deteriorated due to escalating global warming, a GGF special‑operations unit commanded by Gento Hiruma encountered a critical incident when a routine post‑attack clean-up operation unexpectedly escalated, culminating in the appearance of an Ultraman.
Subsequently, Hiruma was reassigned to command SKaRD, the Special Kaiju Reaction Detachment, a newly formed covert response unit created to address emerging kaiju threats. SKaRD employs the combat robot Earth Garon as its primary tactical asset in field operations.
Hiruma is later revealed to be the human host of Ultraman Blazar, enabling him to lead SKaRD in direct engagements against kaiju while simultaneously attempting to interpret recurring visions connected to a distant galaxy.
