Summary
A distant world known as Planet H12 (pronounced H‑One‑Two), a terrestrial planet closely resembling Earth, is suddenly devastated by an assault from space‑borne kaiju originating from another planet. As H12 collapses and its civilisation faces extinction, a single alien survivor escapes and travels to Earth. This refugee, later known as Teo, eventually develops into an Ultraman.
On Earth, Teo adopts the human identity Ibuki Mitsuishi, a third‑year veterinary student at Meishin University. Although he struggles to adapt to human social norms, he maintains a peaceful daily life, distinguished by his ability to communicate with animals. This tranquillity ends when the same class of space kaiju responsible for H12’s destruction appears on Earth, threatening a repeat of the catastrophe.
Confronted with imminent danger, Ibuki’s determination to protect life surpasses his fear. In that moment, a brilliant light envelops him, transforming him into a blue giant of light, enabling him to oppose the kaiju threat.
