Summary
The Vault is a post‑apocalyptic science‑fiction web series centred on a disparate group of survivors residing within Vault 175, an underground military installation colloquially referred to simply as the Vault. The group is commanded by General Evelyn Pierce of the Canadian Armed Forces, whose pragmatic leadership maintains order within the facility. Situated five miles beneath the Earth’s surface, the Vault represents the last habitable refuge for humanity following a global nuclear cataclysm.
The world above has been reduced to a perpetual nuclear winter, an uninhabitable wasteland presumed incapable of sustaining life. This assumption is challenged when a routine surveying expedition discovers an unconscious pilot, Nathaniel Hale, lying amid the frozen ruins. His unexpected survival raises questions about the true state of the surface world and sets in motion events that threaten the Vault’s fragile stability.
