Summary
Zenith centres on siblings Fay, aged fourteen, and Boris, aged ten, who uncover that their parents have secretly substituted themselves with robotic duplicates. Claudia and Joost, both occupied by demanding professional responsibilities, struggle to balance their work with meaningful engagement in their children’s lives. When Fay and Boris discover that the figures they believed to be their parents are programmable surrogates that can be directed to fulfil any command, the household rapidly descends into disorder. As events escalate and the robots begin to behave unpredictably, Fay, Boris, Claudia, and Joost gradually recognise their mutual dependence as a family unit. Confronted with the consequences of the malfunctioning machines, they are compelled to cooperate to restore stability and repair the damage.
