== Summary ==

''Metal Mickey'' is a British sitcom centred on the ''Wilburforce'' family, an otherwise typical household distinguished by the presence of a domestic robot named ''Metal Mickey''. The family comprises Mother and Father, whose given names are never specified, their three children, ''Haley'', ''Steve'' and ''Ken'', and Father’s mother, ''Granny''. Mickey is constructed by the youngest son, ''Ken'', portrayed as a scientific prodigy.

Originally designed to assist with household tasks, Mickey soon develops a distinct personality. Standing approximately five feet tall, he is powered by ''atomic thunderbusters'', a fictional energy source frequently treated humorously as a form of confectionery.
