== Summary ==

First broadcast in ''1951'', the serial invited viewers to submit suggestions for subsequent plot developments. The story followed young ''Ian Spencer'' and his encounters with a Martian boy, ''Bilaphodorus'', whose "Space Boat" crash‑lands on Earth. The production generated sufficient audience engagement to warrant a second serial the following autumn. This follow‑up also featured Valentine Dyall, later known for portraying the Black Guardian in [[Doctor Who]], in the role of another Martian, ''Gorgol''.
