Summary
First broadcast in 1951, the serial invited viewers to submit suggestions for subsequent plot developments. The story followed young Ian Spencer and his encounters with a Martian boy, Bilaphodorus, whose "Space Boat" crash‑lands on Earth. The production generated sufficient audience engagement to warrant a second serial the following autumn. This follow‑up also featured Valentine Dyall, later known for portraying the Black Guardian in Doctor Who, in the role of another Martian, Gorgol.
