Summary
The conclusion of Big Bad Beetleborgs leads directly into Beetleborgs Metallix, in which the Crustaceans replace the Magnavores as the primary antagonists. Their leader, Nukus, learns that his creator is Les Fortunes, the imprisoned brother of Art Fortunes, and frees him to produce new monsters. In response, Art designs upgraded powers and armour that Flabber animates, enabling the heroes to become the Beetleborgs Metallix. They later receive support from the Astralborgs, characters originating from the brothers’ childhood collaboration, the Lost Comic.
Nukus expands his forces with the Mantrons and attains a “Mega” form alongside Vilor. The Beetleborgs counter with enhancements from Roboborg, becoming the Mega Spectra Beetleborgs. Vilor’s upgrade proves temporary, while Mega Nukus remains unchanged.
The series concludes with Boron joining the Beetleborgs, depriving Nukus of a key asset. Les Fortunes voluntarily returns to prison, ending Nukus’s ability to create new monsters. With no method to return the Crustaceans to the comic dimension, the final conflict remains unresolved.
