Summary

The story follows three children—Drew, Roland, and Jo—who are coerced by older boys into entering a reputedly haunted house. Once inside and locked in, they search for an escape while avoiding the supernatural inhabitants. During their exploration, they inadvertently release Flabber, a “funtastic phasm” who grants each of them a single wish.

Still holding their comic books, the children choose to become their favourite heroes, the Big Bad Beetleborgs. However, Flabber’s magic also frees the villains from the same comic series, including Vexor and the Magnavors. With their new powers, the three young heroes must defend their town from these adversaries and restore order.

Many of the series’ action sequences were sourced directly from the Japanese production B-Fighter, following the common Saban practice of integrating tokusatsu fight footage into its adaptations.
