Summary
Eight years after the collapse of Citadel, an independent global intelligence organisation destroyed by the clandestine syndicate Manticore, former elite agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh live under new identities with no memory of their past lives. Their escape from Citadel’s downfall came at the cost of a forced memory wipe, leaving them unaware of the agency’s fate or their own former roles within it.
Mason’s quiet existence ends when he is located by Bernard Orlick, a surviving Citadel strategist who warns that Manticore is preparing to impose a new world order. With Citadel’s global safeguards dismantled, Orlick urges Mason to re‑enter the fight and recover the skills and alliances he once possessed. Mason seeks out Nadia, hoping to restore their partnership and uncover the truth behind their erased histories.
Together, Mason and Nadia embark on an international mission to stop Manticore’s rise, confronting adversaries who have spent years consolidating power in Citadel’s absence. As they navigate shifting loyalties and resurfacing memories, both agents are forced to reckon with long‑buried secrets that threaten their mission, their partnership, and the fragile new lives they have built.
