Summary
The series centres on Marshall Teller, a teenager whose family relocates to the isolated community of Eerie, Indiana (population 16,661). Upon settling into his new home, Marshall befriends Simon Holmes, one of the few residents who exhibits conventional behaviour. The pair soon encounter a succession of anomalous and often inexplicable phenomena, including a clandestine society of hyper‑intelligent dogs intent on global domination and a tornado hunter whose obsessive pursuits evoke the literary figure Captain Ahab.
Their investigations further bring them into contact with manifestations of contemporary urban legends, among them Bigfoot and a purportedly still‑living Elvis Presley. Although the programme incorporates a substantial comedic element, it maintains an underlying tone of seriousness throughout.
