Summary

Heroes is an ensemble drama that follows a group of ordinary individuals who gradually discover that they possess extraordinary abilities. As a total solar eclipse casts its shadow across the globe, their lives begin to intersect in unexpected ways. A genetics professor in India, investigating his father’s mysterious disappearance, uncovers evidence suggesting that people with superhuman powers live among the population. In New York, a young idealist attempts to convince his politically ambitious brother that he can fly.

Elsewhere, a high‑school cheerleader learns that she is completely indestructible, while a Las Vegas single mother struggling to support her son discovers that her mirror image harbours a dangerous secret. A prison inmate inexplicably awakens outside his cell, and a gifted but troubled artist finds that he can paint visions of the future. A down‑on‑his‑luck police officer realises he can hear the thoughts of others, including the hidden intentions of a captured terrorist. In Japan, a young office worker discovers he can bend time and space through sheer force of will.

Together, these individuals are drawn toward a shared destiny , one that may determine the fate of the world.
