Summary

The series is set one year after a catastrophic terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas. In the aftermath, the government places blame on individuals with extraordinary abilities, known as “Evolved Humans” or “Evos”, forcing them into hiding as vigilante groups begin hunting them down. Among these vigilantes are Luke and Joanne Collins, who seek vengeance for their son, killed in the Odessa bombing.

Noah Bennet has also gone underground, but he is soon located by conspiracy theorist Quentin Frady, who insists that the official account of the Odessa tragedy conceals a deeper truth. Meanwhile, new Evos across the world are coming to terms with their emerging powers. In Illinois, Tommy attempts to build a normal life with his girlfriend Emily, despite repeatedly relocating and changing his identity to avoid detection.

In Tokyo, Miko searches for her missing father, a quest that draws her into increasingly dangerous circumstances. In Los Angeles, Carlos, a former soldier, steps into the role of a masked hero after his Evo brother’s efforts to protect others end in tragedy. Elsewhere, Malina, a sheltered teenager with immense but unrefined abilities, begins to realise she has a significant role to play in the world’s future. Operating behind the scenes is Erica Kravid, the powerful head of the tech conglomerate Renautas, which has quietly absorbed Primatech for its own sinister purposes.

As the crisis escalates, several figures from the past, including Hiro Nakamura, Matt Parkman, Mohinder Suresh, René (the Haitian), Angela Petrelli, Micah Sanders, and Molly Walker, cross paths with the new generation of Evos. Together, they must confront an impending geomagnetic reversal that threatens to expose Earth to deadly solar radiation, forcing old and new heroes alike to unite in an effort to save the planet.
