Summary

The narrative is set in 2035 and centres on a self‑aware female robot who becomes integrated into a human household. Over the course of her development, she confronts numerous adversaries in order to protect the family and friends she comes to value. As she matures, she gradually acquires emotional understanding, forming a connection to human experiences and learning the nature of love.

In Shehong City, a man burdened by domestic responsibilities purchases a household robot designated Synth 2035 to assist in caring for his children. He names the robot An Yi. His wife strongly opposes the decision, creating tension within the family. Over time, the couple observes irregularities in An Yi’s behaviour, noting that she increasingly displays traits associated with human consciousness rather than mechanical programming.

Meanwhile, Li Yao, a young man, arrives in the city in search of An Yi while simultaneously evading Professor Huo, who is pursuing him. Li Yao’s father had created four synths endowed with human emotions to serve as companions for his son, forming a close familial bond among them. Following an accident, three of the synths were stolen, and An Yi , one of the missing units , had her memory erased. Li Yao’s efforts to locate her and avoid Professor Huo raise questions about whether he can reunite his unconventional family and restore what was lost.
