Summary
News reports announce that the city of Mokuhara has been struck by a catastrophic earthquake, resulting in the closure of all major transport routes. Concerned for the safety of his friends, Yamato (K. Domoto of Kinki Kids) resolves to travel to the city despite official warnings. During his journey he encounters Takeru (T. Domoto, also of Kinki Kids), who is likewise heading toward Mokuhara in search of his missing sister.
Upon reaching the outskirts, the two discover that the situation is far more severe than the public broadcasts have suggested. In reality, no earthquake has occurred. Instead, Mokuhara and its surrounding districts have been contaminated by micro‑organisms released following a meteorite impact. The resulting plague has killed all adults within the affected zone, prompting the government to seal off the region to prevent the spread of an infection lethal to anyone beyond their teenage years, a scenario reminiscent of The Tribe (Tribe, the).
As Yamato and Takeru attempt to impose order among the surviving youths, they uncover evidence that even this official explanation is a fabrication designed to obscure a deeper conspiracy. When they identify the true architects of the disaster, the pair resolve to confront the government itself, producing a narrative that blends elements of Lord of the Flies and Neverland.
