Summary

In this reimagined version of Land of the Lost (1974), the protagonists are the Porter family, father Tom Porter and his children Kevin and Annie—who are transported into the Land of the Lost when their vehicle plunges through a fissure in the ground during a wilderness expedition. Equipped with camping gear and survival tools, the Porters construct a treehouse as a temporary dwelling while they search for a means of returning home.

Among the first inhabitants they encounter is Tasha, a young dinosaur adopted by Annie. The family also befriends Christa, a jungle‑dwelling girl of uncertain origin, and her companion Stink, a half‑human, half‑ape creature. As in the original series, the realm contains numerous dinosaurs and the Sleestacks, an intelligent but dangerous reptilian race whose presence provides ongoing threats and challenges for the Porters.
