Summary

Yu Arashida becomes the sole survivor of a catastrophic incident in which a colossal robot attacks the cruise ship on which he is travelling with his parents, resulting in the destruction of the vessel and the deaths of all on board. Several years later, as an adult, Yu undergoes intensive training under the guidance of his grandfather to operate Mach Baron, a giant red robot conceived by Yu’s late father and subsequently constructed by his grandfather as Earth’s ultimate defensive weapon.

Following the assassination of his grandfather by a clandestine organisation intent on global conquest, Yu assumes full responsibility as Mach Baron’s pilot. Working alongside members of the KSS (Kokusai Kagaku Kyōjo Tai), he engages in ongoing efforts to prevent the organisation’s schemes from succeeding and to protect the planet from their deployment of giant robotic machines.
