Summary

Ke Zhen Yu is introduced as a high‑profile defence lawyer distinguished by his polished demeanour, professional success, and an unbroken record of courtroom victories. His reputation is abruptly compromised when he unexpectedly loses a major case, resulting in a rapid decline in both his career and personal circumstances. Following this setback, Ke relocates to a low‑budget apartment of uncertain origin, where he encounters an unusual new co‑tenant.

Cheng Jia Le, a reporter, occupies the same apartment but exists in a different temporal or metaphysical plane. The two individuals meet precisely at 10:06 p.m. each night through a supernatural portal that links their respective realms. Initially bewildered by the phenomenon, Ke and Cheng gradually recognise that the anomaly is symptomatic of a larger disturbance.

Their interactions reveal that resolving the underlying problem requires sustained cooperation, necessitating their continued meetings at 10:06 p.m.. The narrative centres on their evolving partnership as they attempt to understand the nature of the portal and restore order to their intersecting realities.
