Summary

A group of children discover a mirror in an old house that functions as a portal to the past, linking directly to another mirror in an earlier era. They attempt to use their contemporary knowledge to assist people they encounter in the past, but their interventions often produce unintended consequences. Certain older relatives, already aware of the mirror’s properties, exploit it for personal gain by manipulating historical events and introducing inventions designed to yield wealth in the future. The children also encounter a severely deformed boy whom they mistakenly believe can be cured through modern medical techniques, illustrating the limits of their understanding and the risks inherent in altering past circumstances.
