Summary
The first season of Caminhos do Coração concludes with four major revelations: the truth behind Maria’s kidnapping; the identification of the individual responsible for the criminal activities of the now‑defunct organisation Progênese; the transformation of Dr. Júlia Zaccarias into Juli Di Trevi following her use of a rejuvenating serum; and the disclosure of Mariana as the mother of the twins Maria and Samira.
As events progress, mutations proliferate across the population, producing individuals with vampiric, feline, serpentine, arachnid, and lycanthropic traits. These mutants begin attacking civilians throughout São Paulo, spreading violence with epidemic intensity. In response, the frightened populace turns against all mutants, pursuing them indiscriminately.
