Summary
In a narrative reminiscent of Invisible Ray, the (1920) and other early science‑fiction works centred on the discovery of potent 'new energy sources, the serial follows a scientist who perishes before he can disclose his remarkable finding: a meteorite that has fallen to Earth contains titano, a substance capable of generating unlimited energy. While travelling through the frozen northern wilderness with her dogsled, Nan (Little) encounters the scientist’s body and learns of his discovery through the report he left behind.
A duplicate of this report has already been obtained by a criminal gang operating in the Yukon. The ensuing competition for control of the titano sets the plot in motion, with Nan, assisted by the local constable (Clapham), pitted against the gang’s leader (Girard) and his associates. The serial’s action unfolds through the heroine’s efforts to thwart the villains and secure the scientist’s discovery.
