Summary
For millennia, the Pai Zhuq, the Order of the Claw, guarded the imprisoned evil spirit Dai Shi. During the selection of new guardians, student Jarrod rebelled, accidentally releasing Dai Shi, who killed Master Mao and took possession of Jarrod’s body. Casey, Theo, and Lily were sent to RJ, who granted them the ability to become Power Rangers, tasked with preventing Dai Shi’s army of animal spirits and Rinshi warriors from overtaking the human world.
To strengthen his forces, Dai Shi enlisted Camille and revived the Five Fingers of Poison, though they failed. As Dai Shi’s power increased, the Rangers trained under retired masters to gain new animal spirits: Lily with Master Phant (Elephant), Theo with Master Swoop (Bat), and Casey with Master Finn (Shark). Dai Shi and Camille later resurrected the Overlords Carnisoar and Jellica, who intensified Dai Shi’s training and further suppressed Jarrod’s humanity.
After Dai Shi captured RJ, the Rangers trained in the Spirit World under fallen masters, enabling them to attain Master Mode. RJ’s corrupted Wolf Spirit briefly transformed him into a werewolf, but with help from Flit, he stabilized his powers and became the Wolf Ranger. The final Overlord, Grizzaka, returned and seized control from Dai Shi, wielding the powerful Zocato energy. Meanwhile, Dominic, a former Pai Zhuq student seeking purpose, embraced his destiny as the Rhino Ranger.
