Summary
In Blue Bay Harbor, three Wind Ninja Academy students, Shane Clarke, Tori Hanson and Dustin Brooks, survive an assault led by Lothor, a banished ninja master who captures the academy’s trainees and transforms Sensei Kanoi Watanabe into a guinea pig. Guided by Sensei and his son Cam from the underground Ninja Ops facility, the trio become the Power Rangers Ninja Storm and defend the city against Lothor’s forces.
The Rangers utilise the Ninja Zords, which combine into the Storm Megazord, to counter Lothor’s ability to enlarge defeated monsters. The conflict intensifies with the arrival of the Thunder Rangers, Blake and Hunter Bradley, who initially oppose the Wind Rangers due to a misunderstanding about their parents’ deaths. After learning that Lothor was responsible, the brothers join the Wind Rangers, enabling the formation of the Thunderstorm Megazord.
Following the loss of the Rangers’ powers, Cam travels into the past using the Scroll of Time and retrieves the Samurai Amulet, becoming the Green Samurai Ranger. His Samurai Star Megazord later integrates with the team’s machines to form the Hurricane Megazord, and additional artefacts allow the summoning of the Mighty Mammoth Zord and further megazord combinations.
In the final confrontation, Lothor attempts to unleash the Abyss of Evil, resurrecting the season’s defeated monsters. The Rangers and freed ninja students repel the invasion, though Lothor strips the Rangers of their powers using the Samurai Amulet. The Wind Rangers ultimately defeat him by drawing on their innate ninja abilities and cast him into the Abyss. In the aftermath, the Rangers assume roles as ninja masters at the Wind Ninja Academy.
