Summary
Following an extended campaign against the villain Divatox, the Power Rangers Turbo were ultimately defeated in their efforts to defend Earth. Divatox’s forces succeeded in locating the Power Chamber and destroyed it entirely, eliminating the Rangers’ remaining powers. In the aftermath, the four surviving Rangers, T.J., Cassie, Ashley, and Carlos, departed the planet alongside Alpha 6, commandeering a N.A.S.A.D.A. space shuttle in a mission to rescue Zordon, who had been captured by the intergalactic tyrant Dark Specter.
During their journey toward the planet Eltar, the shuttle was unexpectedly drawn aboard the Astro Megaship, a highly advanced spacecraft. There the Rangers encountered Andros, the Red Space Ranger, who initially believed them to be hostile intruders. After clarifying their shared objective, Andros remained hesitant to cooperate, but Alpha 6 persuaded him that rescuing Zordon would require unified effort. Andros subsequently provided the group with Astro Morphers, formally establishing the team known as Power Rangers In Space.
The newly formed team consisted of Andros as the Red Lightstar Ranger, T.J. as the Blue Lightstar Ranger, Cassie as the Pink Lightstar Ranger, Ashley as the Yellow Lightstar Ranger, and Carlos as the Black Lightstar Ranger.
With assistance from Alpha 6 and the Megaship’s artificial‑intelligence system D.E.C.A., the Rangers travelled throughout the galaxy to oppose the forces of Dark Specter and his lieutenant Astronema. In battle, the Megaship could combine with its auxiliary spacecraft to form the Astro MegaZord, a powerful mechanized unit used to counter large‑scale threats.
