Summary

In the Forest of Dean, a series of anomalous sightings begins to occur: creatures appear that should not exist in the present era. Professor Nick Cutter, accompanied by a small team of unconventional scientists, investigates the reports and soon encounters living dinosaurs, some docile, others hostile. Their exploration ultimately leads them to a mysterious temporal anomaly situated deep within the forest. A young boy inadvertently peers into the phenomenon and discovers that it functions as a portal to prehistoric Earth.

Cutter becomes convinced that the anomaly is connected to a personal tragedy. Years earlier, his wife vanished without explanation, and he now believes she may have passed through a similar portal. The discovery of the anomaly thus provides both scientific revelation and a potential key to understanding her disappearance.
