Summary

In the Primeval franchise, various animals and humans originating from both the distant past and the far future appear in the present day through anomalies, fictional temporal phenomena that function as portals across time. In Primeval: New World, which is set in Vancouver, British Columbia, similar anomalies begin to manifest throughout Canada.

The series centres on Evan Cross, a software developer portrayed by Niall Matter, who encountered an anomaly six years prior to the events of the show. Motivated by this experience, Cross establishes the Special Projects Group, an investigative team dedicated to studying the anomalies and responding to the threats and scientific challenges they present.
