Summary

In 2015, criminal profiler Park Hae‑young (Lee Je‑hoon) discovers a discarded walkie‑talkie that inexplicably enables communication with Detective Lee Jae‑han (Cho Jin‑woong), who is operating from the past. Although the two men have never met, Jae‑han addresses Hae‑young with familiarity, prompting the profiler to investigate the device’s origins. Through this temporal connection, Hae‑young succeeds in resolving a fifteen‑year‑old kidnapping and murder case involving a former classmate, an achievement that leads to the establishment of a dedicated cold case unit.

The newly formed team is led by Detective Cha Soo‑hyun (Kim Hye‑soo), who has spent the past fifteen years searching for Jae‑han, her former mentor and unrequited love. With Jae‑han providing information from the 1990s, Hae‑young and Soo‑hyun collaborate to solve a series of long‑unsolved cases. Their investigations gradually draw Hae‑young into the unresolved mystery surrounding Jae‑han’s disappearance in 2000. As the team attempts to alter past events and apprehend offenders, their actions produce unforeseen consequences in the present.
