Summary
The Warler Empire, facing severe water shortages, initiates an invasion of Earth and abducts Helen (Morinaga), the sister of the protagonist Yosuke (Wateri). Yosuke resists the incursion with the assistance of a team of female associates distinguished by their utilitarian combat trousers, a notable departure from the mini-skirted supporting casts characteristic of earlier entries in the Hero series.
In response to Warler’s aggression, Space Queen Pandora (Soga, later known for her portrayal of Bandora in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers) deploys a succession of eccentric and thematically varied monsters to challenge Earth’s defenders. These include the Megafreezer, the Doorbeller, the Blender, and a creature inspired by a car mirror, its name referencing the Japanese word miira, meaning mummy.
Reflecting the popularity of sibling‑centred science‑fiction narratives in the wake of Return of the Jedi (1983), Yosuke must first rescue Helen from the Empire’s grasp. The two then join forces to repel Warler’s invasion and safeguard the planet.
