Summary
Star Trek: Voyager follows the USS Voyager after it is transported to the distant Delta Quadrant while pursuing a missing Maquis vessel in the Badlands. Stranded nearly 70 years from Federation space, the Starfleet and Maquis crews merge under Captain Kathryn Janeway to form a single complement dedicated to exploration and finding a way home.
The series centres on the ship’s diverse crew, including First Officer Chakotay, former Maquis engineer B’Elanna Torres, pilot Tom Paris, Vulcan tactical officer Tuvok, young operations officer Harry Kim, and the Emergency Medical Hologram. Native Delta Quadrant companions Neelix and Kes join the crew early in the journey.
Voyager encounters numerous new species and hazards, notably the hostile Kazon sects, while navigating political conflicts, scientific anomalies, and ethical dilemmas. The overarching narrative chronicles the crew’s long voyage toward Federation space and their efforts to maintain Starfleet principles far from home.
