Summary
Star Trek: The Original Series is a 1960s American science‑fiction television programme that chronicles the exploratory missions of the star-ship USS Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. The series presents a future in which humanity is a member of the United Federation of Planets, an interstellar polity dedicated to scientific discovery, diplomacy, and peaceful coexistence.
