Summary

The narrative follows five hospital interns who become preoccupied with discovering what occurs after death. Driven by curiosity rather than scientific discipline, they devise an experiment in which each participant is induced into a state of clinical death before being resuscitated. After undergoing the procedure, the group realises that their actions have metaphorically opened a door to an unseen realm, and each intern begins to exhibit unusual, seemingly supernatural abilities that appear to be linked to their brief passage beyond life.
