Summary

The series follows the exploits of The Tick, a towering, blue‑costumed vigilante whose simplistic worldview and limited understanding of everyday human behaviour do little to diminish his unwavering commitment to justice. Operating in The City, he pursues evildoers with boundless enthusiasm, leaping across rooftops and confronting threats with an eccentric but sincere sense of heroism.

His partner is Arthur, a mild‑mannered accountant who abandons his profession to pursue his long‑held aspiration of becoming a superhero. Donning a moth‑themed costume, often mistaken for a rabbit, Arthur joins The Tick as a crime‑fighting duo, providing caution and rationality to counterbalance The Tick’s impulsive approach.

The Tick and Arthur frequently collaborate with Batmanuel, a flamboyant and self‑assured Latino superhero known for his charm and theatricality, and Captain Liberty, a government‑sanctioned operative regarded as one of the nation’s foremost defenders against supervillains. Together, this eclectic group navigates the challenges of heroism, personal identity, and the absurdities inherent in protecting The City from its colourful array of threats.
