Summary
The Twelve Colonies enjoy a period of relative stability, fifty‑eight years prior to the events of the reimagined series Battlestar Galactica (2004), when an act of religious extremism unexpectedly links the lives of Joseph Adama, a defence attorney with connections to the criminal underworld, and Daniel Graystone, a wealthy industrialist and pioneering technologist. Both men suffer profound personal losses in the attack.
Driven by grief and an increasingly consuming fixation, Daniel embarks on an effort to restore his daughter through the resources of his vast technology empire. Presented with the possibility of his own daughter’s return, Joseph struggles with the ethical and emotional implications until he is confronted with the tangible consequences of such an endeavour.
