Summary
Tetsuro Suzuki is a researcher employed at a medical centre operated by an information technology corporation. He develops an artificial‑intelligence diagnostic system capable of assessing patients with significantly greater speed and accuracy than human physicians. The success of the technology prompts Shunpei Gamo, the company’s representative, to advocate for its expanded use. In contrast, Naoko Arizono, president of the national doctors’ association, expresses strong opposition to the initiative. Tensions escalate when a journalist uncovers the death of a patient previously diagnosed by the AI system and begins an independent investigation into the circumstances.
