Summary

Giant spacecraft materialise above twenty‑nine major urban centres worldwide, heralding the arrival of Anna (Morena Baccarin), the poised and charismatic figurehead of the extra‑terrestrial "Visitors," who publicly asserts that her species has come in peace. Although the Visitors present themselves as benevolent, a small contingent of humans begins to question their motives. FBI counter‑terrorism agent Erica Evans (Elizabeth Mitchell) uncovers evidence that the Visitors have covertly infiltrated political, commercial, and religious institutions for decades and are now approaching the culmination of a long‑term plan to assume control of the planet.

Erica aligns herself with an emerging resistance movement that includes Ryan (Morris Chestnut), a Visitor sleeper agent determined to protect humanity. Their efforts are complicated by the Visitors’ growing popularity: the aliens have gained widespread public support by providing cures for numerous diseases and by cultivating loyalty among younger generations. Among those drawn into their influence is Erica’s son, Tyler (Logan Huffman), who becomes an unwitting participant in the Visitors’ intelligence network.
