Summary
Vania Vanilla is portrayed as a celebrated and strikingly beautiful artist whose life changes upon meeting her new neighbour, Morgan. Although he appears human, Morgan is in fact an extra-terrestrial being. According to the narrative, he arrived on Earth four centuries earlier, landing in Batavia after becoming stranded during his journey. Unable to return to his home world, he established a permanent life on Earth, where his long exile eventually intersects with Vania’s own story.
