Summary
In a story reminiscent of Allan Rune Pettersson’s Frankenstein’s Aunt, Aunt Hannah arrives at Castle Frankenstein determined to secure a suitable bride for her nephew and ensure the continuation of the family line with “little Frankensteins.” Victor, however, is wholly uninterested in domestic concerns. Instead, he is consumed by his latest experiment: creating a being endowed with the strength of a machine and the intellect of a genius.
Unlike the original novel, Aunt Hannah’s stay at the castle brings her into contact with a variety of supernatural figures, including a merman, a fire spirit, and a mysterious White Lady. She also encounters Max, an orphaned boy fleeing a travelling circus. These unusual companions draw her into a series of comedic and fantastical misadventures while Victor continues his obsessive scientific pursuits.
