Summary
The series employs an anthology format rather than a continuous narrative, with each episode centred on a different character from the Star Trek universe. The first season expands upon figures introduced in Star Trek: Discovery, including characters such as Tilly and Saru, providing additional context to their backgrounds and personal development.
The second season broadens its scope to encompass a wider range of stories. Several episodes highlight members of the USS Enterprise crew, most notably Spock and Captain Christopher Pike, as depicted in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Other instalments explore the origins of notable species or phenomena within the franchise, including the Tribbles, and one episode offers an early narrative preview of Star Trek: Picard.
